There aren’t many real estate brokers who actually dream about racing and navigating all the levels and twists and turns located in the netherworld of Lower Wacker Drive. But, I do. That’s because I’ve been doing it, as either a passenger or driver, my entire life.
As a proud lifelong Chicagoan, I bring a depth of relevant - and irrelevant - experience and knowledge to the buying and selling process in Chicago and its suburbs. When you work with me, you get it all: the hot dog stands, the schools, the Cubs and Sox (child of a mixed marriage), the best guacamole, the lake, the shortcuts, the pockets of green and gardens, deep dish pizza, the fabulous street art, the not-so-fabulous street art, the politics, the bike paths, the views, the architecture, and the vibes of each block in each neighborhood.
I’m happy to bring it all to make your buying and selling process complete, like only a passionate native Chicagoan can do. I’m also happy to take you on a tour zipping around Lower Wacker Drive - provided you first sign a waiver.
Check out Mrs. O'Leary's house for sale
Although now it's been largely debunked, the story that Mrs. O'Leary's cow kicked over a lantern that started The Great Chicago Fire is deeply embedded into Chicago lore. Now is your chance to own a piece of Chicago history, since Mrs. O'Leary's mansion is on the market. The house, built by her gambling boss son James O'Leary about 20 years after Chicago went up in flames in 1871, can be had for $535,770. As Brad's house was built a mere 2 years later (in 1893) and was in need of the same major TLC that this house requires, please talk to him so you know what you're getting yourself into!
Look what's become of
It is the birthplace of Hillary Rodham Clinton and serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Oh, and Brad Lippitz! Edgewater Hospital is over 90 years old, and it recently got a new lease on life — as an apartment building.
The 5700 N. Ashland Ave. campus has reopened as Anderson Point, a 155-unit complex that makes use of two of the oldest buildings from the Edgewater Hospital days.
Edgewater Hospital opened in 1929 and was equipped with a solarium, pool and a helipad. In addition to Clinton and Lippitz, many famous patients were served there, including Frank Sinatra.
